Gorbel’s G-Force® Intelligent Lifting Devices are built with intuitive maneuvering so that operators can move the arm as if it were an extension of their own body. This focus on intuitive maneuvering allows Grobel to deliver a quality product that easily manipulates a variety of objects with ease and comfort that makes lifting safer, faster, and stress-free.
Unlike purely robotic models, G-Force® models use the strength and power of a robotic solution combined with the intellect and problem solving of a human being. This makes them highly effective models for manipulating heavy and bulky materials in intricate ways to piece things together. From moving airplane parts to loading warehouse docks, the G-Force Q and iQ might be able to help do the task safer and more efficiently. In this article, we’re going to take a quick look at the specs and uses of both the G-Force Q and iQ models.
What is the Difference Between G-Force Q and iQ Models?
Both the Q and iQ models are packed with a variety of great features. The iQ offers additional Input and Output features, with added intelligence. The iQ has a remote auxiliary I/O block below the handle, with virtual limits and set speed reductions. The advanced intelligence lets you automate the lift process a bit more seamlessly. It also uses a photosensor to engage an operator present function.
Both iQ and Q models have the advanced “float mode” which allows the machine to sense the weight of the object and have it hover in the air.
Using the G-Force Q and Qi: Environments, Industries, Items
Gorbel’s G-Force® Intelligent Lifting Devices are useful in automotive, aerospace, and heavy equipment manufacturing industries. They are great for any repetitive lifting jobs that require precision maneuvers of heavy objects because they can handle weights of between 165 and 1320 pounds. Great for parts assembly environments, with speeds up to 200 feet per minute that can quickly get parts from one work cell to another.
They can also palletize loads and maneuver materials on loading docks. Effective for airplane parts, car parts, and heavy machinery. Increased tolerance to dust and liquid hazards make both models safer to use in a wide variety of environments.
Handling, Efficiency, Safety
Since Gorbel’s G-Force® Intelligent Lifting Devices are built to be an extension of the body, they can handle sensitive parts with high levels of precision that can prevent damage. Damaged parts can be costly and set back a project by extended amounts of time. With ergonomic and precision handling, sensitive components, such as aircraft pieces, can be manipulated with ease without putting the parts or people in danger. Since there is no pendant controller, the lifted object can float with Gorbel’s float technology.
With speeds up to 200 ft. per minute and the ability to cover multiple work cells, the lift can increase the speed at which parts move around your workspace. Advanced safety features reduce the risk of on the job injuries.
The Gorbel is also built to last, with a patented G360™ collector. Damage to the coil is blocked by the intelligent swivel assembly.
