Floor Mounted Jib Cranes

Jib cranes consist of a floor mounted mast with an attached pivoting head and boom assembly. If the pivoting head is attached to a floor mounted mast, it can provide 360 degree rotation. If it is attached to a building column, it will provide 180 degree rotation. The hook coverage area will be equal to the boom length. Jib cranes can be either motorized or use manual rotation and are perfect for moving lighter loads than a bridge or gantry crane. They are typically used in loading and unloading situations or at assembly stations. On a typical assembly site, there may be multiple jib cranes used for assembly at individual stations, with a bridge crane used to move the finished product.

Gorbel Enclosed Track Jib Cranes

Gorbel enclosed track jib cranes provide excellent coverage in circular areas not efficiently served by a main crane. They’re ideal for supporting tool balancers, air balancers, hoists, vacuum lifters, and welding wire feeders.

Gorbel Articulating Jib Crane

Gorbel Articulating Jib Cranes can position loads in places you cannot reach with traditional jibs. They provide easy rotation and consistent responsiveness when positioning loads throughout the crane’s coverage area. These jibs can position and spot a load around obstructions, through doorways, or rotate in close to the free standing mast or building column.
